As part of our commitment to fostering and cultivating a diverse working environment, we have launched a DEI task force that allows employees to contribute to the development and advancement of our DEI initiatives. We believe that our most valuable asset is our human capital. Each employee brings unique knowledge and life experiences, making us who we are.
DragonSpears launched a DEI task force to build and promote a diverse, inclusive, and equitable work environment. We asked a few task force members to share their passion for joining.
Lack of diversity may stunt our ability to be innovative. Having a diverse and culturally sensitive team allows us to implement a variety of perspectives and relate to various customers with unique needs. I joined the DEI Taskforce in pursuit of creating a team with a variety of perspectives, sensitivity, empathy, and the ability to put ourselves in our teammates' and customers' shoes.

The first step in resolving our differences is understanding and valuing what we have in common. My interest in joining the DEI Taskforce is to find ways that the collective WE (being DragonSpears) can influence others to value our shared humanity.

Over the past year, the company has added the following DEI initiatives to our existing mission.
1. Formed a DEI book club.
2. Integrated our DEI mission into our recruitment and onboarding process.
3. Created a calendar of DEI global events and holidays.
4. Implemented diversity training.
5. Opened random virtual meetings with co-workers to promote inclusivity.
Our DEI initiatives are re-visited regularly and are always progressing. As we continue to grow our team and business, we expect our DEI efforts to advance further.
